Saint directory

Catholic saint search and directory.

Search saints by name, feast day, patronage, or need. Alongside the well-known saints, you can also find older Roman Catholic martyrology entries that are harder to track down.

Some entries are short and some are fuller biographies, but each result is there to help you identify the right saint and know what to read next.

Search by feast day or by saint name

If you only know a feast day, try the month or date in the search box. If you only know part of a name, type that instead. You can search both ways, including lesser-known saints and older entries that people often find by feast day first. You can also try English and Spanish forms such as saint, st, san, or santa when that is the form you already know.

How to find your saint

If you are not sure which saint you mean yet, begin with the smallest solid clue you have: a name, a feast day, a need, or a language form like san or santa. If you only know the day, the feast day guide will help you make sense of that calendar clue before you search again.

Search across 5120 saints and martyrology entries by typing at least two characters. You can search by part of a name, feast day, patronage, or a simple need.

Prefer a guide first?

Read the saint guide if you want to start with work, fear, prayer, family life, or another concrete need.

Looking for a lesser-known saint?

Try part of a name, a feast day, or a need like healing, courage, study, or family life. Search also reaches older martyrology entries.
