San Patricio, patrono de Irlanda, obispo, que, siendo joven, fue llevado cautivo desde Gran Bretaña a Irlanda, y después, recuperada la libertad, quiso ser contado entre los clérigos y regresar a la misma isla, donde, hecho obispo, anunció con vehemencia el Evangelio y organizó con firmeza la Iglesia, hasta que en la ciudad de Down se durmió en el Señor.
