Memoria de san Juan Bautista de la Salle, presbítero, que en Reims, de Normandía, en Francia, se dedicó con ahínco a la instrucción humana y cristiana de los niños, en especial de los pobres, instituyendo la Congregación de los Hermanos de las Escuelas Cristianas, por la cual soportó muchas tribulaciones, siendo merecedor de gratitud por parte del pueblo de Dios.
