Santa Eduvigis, religiosa, que, nacida en Baviera y duquesa de Silesia, demostró un gran interés en ayudar a los pobres, para los cuales fundó hospicios, y, fallecido su marido, se retiró en el monasterio de monjas cistercienses que ella mismo había fundado y del que era abadesa su hija Gertudis, terminando allí sus días, en Trebnitz, el día quince de octubre.
